How it all started
During their 2022 anniversary celebration at the Terrapin in Virginia Beach, Dan and Jen Yeager found inspiration in the surroundings, cuisine, and warmth of the place. This sparked a conversation about utilizing their upcoming new kitchen space more effectively. They brainstormed and realized the potential of offering cooking classes similar to the gourmet sessions that Mama Doetsch, Jen's mom, has been part of for over 30 years. The weekend was filled with fresh ideas, revamped kitchen layouts, and a shared enthusiasm for creating a platform to impart culinary expertise and experiences to their circle of friends, family, and the community. This led to the birth of Yeager Culinary Experience (YCE) - a cooking class at the Yeager residence offering a monthly session to bring 8-10 people together in a social and fun environment to create a spectacular meal, learn culinary tips/tricks, meet new people, and take home an experience to build confidence in the kitchen.
